#69 Playoffs! Are You Kidding Me?! Playoffs!

Finally, the last blog about anything! I still have no idea what to blog about. Sooo how about these playoffs? Both basketball and hockey have been really exciting. I was impressed at the quality of this year’s NBA playoffs. The top teams that have been up there the last few years got knocked out early. The Lakers aren’t going to three-peat, the Celtics are out, the Spurs were bounced by the Grizzlies, and the Magic couldn’t get it going. I was disappointed in a few teams though. I was hoping that the Suns would have at least made the playoffs because I’m a Steve Nash fan. Even though the Thunder lost, making it to the conference semis isn’t anything to be ashamed of. Game two of the finals was exciting, mainly because the Heat blew a big lead in the last six minutes. Lets go Mavs!
The NHL playoffs have been extremely entertaining as well. I was sad that the Blue Jackets didn’t make it, but they were fun to watch all season. It is nice to see some new teams in the Stanley Cup Finals. No Red Wings, Penguins, Avalanche, Blackhawks, or Capitals to be found. The first two games of the Finals have been two of the best hockey games I have ever seen. The first was extremely physical, and no one scored until the Canucks put the game away in the last 18 seconds. The second was a little sloppier, and Timmy Thomas’s aggressive goalkeeping cost him at the end of the game. He tried to get in front of Alex Burrows, but couldn’t quite get there and Burrows snuck in a wraparound eleven seconds into OT.

  1. I love watching the playoffs right now, the NBA players really turn it on during the playoffs.
